- げんごうほう【元号法】1979年（昭和54）に制定された元号に関する法律。 旧皇室典範にあった元号に関する規定が現行の皇室典範になく， 慣習として用いられている元号に， 法的根拠を与えるために制定。 元号について， 政令で定めること， 皇位継承のあった場合に限り改めることを規定する。
